Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Medical Warehouse Intern supports the warehouse team in ensuring the safe, organized, and efficient handling of medical supplies and equipment. This role helps maintain accurate inventory records, assists with receiving and issuing items, and follows proper storage and documentation procedures to ensure compliance with medical and organizational standards. The intern plays a key role in learning warehouse operations while contributing to the smooth flow of medical stock for program and operational needs.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- Assist with Receiving Shipments:
Help unload, inspect, and verify quantities and quality of incoming medical supplies and equipment. - Support Inventory Management:
Update stock cards, bin cards, and digital systems, update temperature logsheet and assist in conducting regular physical inventory counts. - Organize Warehouse Storage:
Ensure items are stored according to proper medical standards (FEFO/FIFO, temperature requirements, cleanliness). - Prepare and Issue Stock:
Assist with picking, packing, and issuing medical supplies to departments, clinics, or field teams as per approved requests. - Maintain Cleanliness & Safety:
Keep the warehouse neat, follow infection prevention and safety protocols, and report any hazards or damaged items. - Documentation & Filing:
Support maintaining accurate paperwork, delivery notes, stock movement forms, and inventory records. - Support Quality Control:
Help check expiry dates, damaged items, and ensure proper labeling of medical commodities. - Coordinate with Team:
Assist warehouse staff in daily tasks and communicate any shortages, discrepancies, or issues promptly. - Learn Warehouse Systems:
Gain hands-on experience with warehouse management tools, TIM system, and medical supply chain procedures. -
CHILD SAFEGUARDING
Level 1: the post holder will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore a police check will not be mandatory for this post unless the content of the post changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level should be reviewed..

Qualifications:

Fresh graduate from Pharmacy.

Must have passed the Pharmacy Exit Exam.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
- Fluency in English language and local languages Pashto and Dari.
- Responsible, reliable, punctual and ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge of archiving and filing.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of financial transactions and financial procedures.
- Good follow up and organizing skills.
- Ability to Communicate with impact and respect.
