Summary of Key Functions
- Internally: Technically reports to gender specialist while operationally to the Project Manager. maintain close working relation with Gender Advisor, MEAL Coordinator, provincial supervisors and team.
- Externally: the position will have close working relation with the community level entities, coordination and communication communities as well as relevant stakeholders and governmental department.
- Key relations Reports to:
- The Project Manager.
- Keep close contact with the Project team and project Supervisors, support staff and projects staff
- Ensure the proper communication and reporting to finance, HR, Procurement and Administration in Kabul.

Key Results Expected:
Overall responsibility of Gender Officer is to ensure gender mainstreaming in the organization, gender technical inputs are given to all programs, ensure that staff have gender capacity to implement their project/programs, provide technical assistance to the project and organization`s staff members`.
- Provide advice and support to the Project Managers and the Technical Advisors in the Implementation of the key gender components across the TVET and MSMEs interventions.
- Provide advice and support to the technical staff working within the respective field offices.
- Analyze and ensure the interventions are sensitive to issues of inclusion of displaced population groups.
- Support in updating and sharing with staff recent developments and knowledge tools in the areas of interventions.
- Monitor and report on the project related gender issues in the region.
- Provide brief updates on the development of gender related issues in the region.
- Provide assistance in data collection, compiling lessons learned, establishing indicators to support knowledge sharing.
- Assist in the development of concept notes, project documents and policy frameworks and research area and gender issues for best practices as directed by supervisor.
- Participate in gender related community of practice in the region.
- Support in writing stories related to program and project developments as they relate to gender equality issues.
- Engage with the community and community representatives to understand needs and gaps in Gender related response and programming.
