BTS/MW Engineer & Technician

Cristal Island Engineering & Construction Company is a leading Afghan firm specializing in telecom site maintenance, installation, power systems, logistics, and civil works. We are committed to quality, safety, and timely project delivery across Afghanistan.

Cristal is currently implementing maintenance projects for Etisalat Afghanistan covering DG, MW, BTS, and power systems across 12 provinces. In addition, we are actively engaged in telecom rollout and civil infrastructure projects nationwide, supporting the expansion and reliability of Afghanistan’s telecom networks.

We are seeking skilled and experienced engineers/technicians for Microwave Links and BTS maintenance, troubleshooting, configuration, and commissioning. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with the following equipment and technologies:

• Microwave Links (MW): ZTE, Huawei, Nera, NEC

• BTS (2G, 3G, 4G): ZTE, Huawei

• Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of MW and BTS sites.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

• Carry out software configuration, upgrades, and commissioning.

• Ensure proper system integration and alignment.

• Prepare technical reports and maintain logs.

• Coordinate with NOC and field teams for issue resolution.

• Education: Minimum 12th class, Maximum Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications/Electronics or related field.

• Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in MW links and BTS systems preferred.

• Strong knowledge of ZTE and Huawei equipment.

• Ability to work independently under field conditions.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Computer Skills:

• MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and communication.

• Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, ping, trace, remote login).

• Familiarity with MW/BTS configuration software tools.
