About BARAN:

Bu Ali Rehabilitation and Aid Network (BARAN) is a nongovernmental, non-political and independent organization. BARAN has been established in 27.7.2006 registered with the Ministry of Economy (MoEc), Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Ministry of Education (MoE) , Ministry of labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD) and Ministry of Women Affairs (MoWA) in order to deliver standard health care, social and educational services including conducting researches. Special attention is given for the community development by promoting capacity building programs.

Job Descriptions:

  • Monthly Performance review of the HF staff in terms of Target and achievements based on the project indicators
  • To do Weekly EPI Data reporting and achievement maintaining above 95%, based on monthly reporting formats.
  • Applying 100% planned supervisions and follow up of all ACASUS checklist related activities.
  • Apply Supervision and monitoring checklist
  • Strictly Supervise implementation of 100% outreach and mobile activities planned
  • Apply HF and community verification to ensure zero discrepancy rate
  • Maintain and perform motivational strategy at HF level
  • Sharing supervision plans with all departments and contributing in supply of logistics during supervision of HFs.
  • Strict actions to be taken in case of under 95% performance during review
  • Weekly overall performance report to technical manager and EPI coordinator including next week plans and activities
  • Continuous plan evaluation and review of the EPI progress and supply chain 
  • Zero tolerance in delay and duplication of activities and reporting
  • Ensure the CBOV team have functional and proper vaccination units both in outreach and for mobile.
  • To do and ensure all supplies of vaccines are available with each CBOV team.
  • Supervise, monitor and follow- up the activity of vaccinators of all CBOV team and outreach and mobile events.
  • Ensure vaccination reports are prepared properly and submitted timely.
  • Responsible to maintain effective coordination and close communication with PPHD, REMT, UN agencies, Community influencer, religious leader, Community elders and other stakeholders both at provincial and field level to ensure proper EPI services delivered at outreach and mobile level.
  • Ensure on-job training and supportive supervision of HFs staff both for outreach and mobile vaccinators and conduct refresher EPI sessions as per need of the project at provincial and field level.
  • Specific focus to maintain cold chain of vaccines and requisition, receiving and supply procedures and recording documents as per National EPI and other MoPH/related guidelines and policies.
  • Any other tasks and responsibilities as required for the implementation of the project and assigned by direct supervisor/ line manager and/or main office authorities

Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of proven experience at the field of EPI with technical background;
  • MD or administrative proved degree;
  • Strong communications and leadership skills;
  • Fluent English, Pashto, and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills;
  • Proficient computing skills including word processing, spreadsheet design and presentations

  • Efficiency, result-oriented and excellent management capabilities;
  • Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle confidential and politically sensitive issues in a responsible and mature manner;
  • Excellent capacity development and teamwork skills; cross-cultural and gender sensitivity;
  • Ability to travel throughout the country;
  • Ability to use information technology effectively.
