Job Descriptions:

Scope of work: 

The Master Teacher Trainer will train and support the community teachers in delivering quality classroom instruction, creating a safe and friendly learning environment and ensuring the desired learning achievements by the students. He/she will be supervised by ASLO Education Supervisor and will work closely with the Community Mobilizer, Teacher Trainer, staff from nearest Ministry of Education schools and assist education officers by providing on time feedback for improving the quality of teaching and learning.

Responsibilities:

  1. Training the Master Trainers/Trainers/Supervisors and other project-related staff in:
  2. (a) Planning and Scheduling for training.
  3. (b) Organizing a training workshop (logistics, finances, venue, refreshment, etc).
  4. (c) Preparing/designing the training materials and their use.
  5. (d) Pre and post evaluation of the trainees for each training and reporting the synthesis of this exercise to the Project Officer and through PO to the Project Manager.
  6. (e) Preparing model lessons, model lesson plans, and their hand out outs.
  7. 2- Training the targeted trainees in methodology and other training packages specified for the project.
  8. Be available in the partner training session to ensure partners trainers are supported, training is relevant, needs-based, and well organized, good training methods are implemented and trainees are satisfied.
  9. Collect data on the training and impacts of the training.
  10. Filing the records of ASLO training and writing reports on the activities he/she conducts.
  11. Preparing/compiling individual training manuals for each training package mentioned below.
  12. Learning about new training areas and training contents needed for the CBE, ALP, and other related programs.
  13. Support the provincial education team and project Manager in any technical issues where they need.
  14. Regularly visits the CBE and ALP classes whether the training contents are being implemented in the school/class/community environment to gauge the impact of the training delivered.
  15. Perform any other project activity assigned by the provincial Manager.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in education or the related subject.
  • 2 to 4 years experience in the subject area or a related discipline.
  • Experience teaching adults might be advantageous.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Patience and resilience.
  • A high degree of diplomacy.
  • Great conflict resolution skills.
  • Good planning skill.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill in Dari/Pashto.
  • Ability to frequently travel to the target communities in the districts.
  • Strong training skills, preferably for community teachers.
