Our mission is to foster women's economic independence, social participation, and leadership within their communities.

Job Description:

We are looking for two Mahram couples experienced Social Mobilizers to join our team. The role is essential in building strong relationships with local communities, raising awareness about AWC’s initiatives, and mobilizing women to actively participate in programs that promote empowerment and social change. Both couples’ male and female Social Mobilizers will work directly with communities to identify needs, increase program participation, and help improve the lives of women and children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with community members, especially women and children, to raise awareness about AWC’s programs and services.
• Mobilize communities to actively participate in AWC’s educational, advocacy, and empowerment programs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local leaders, community members, and stakeholders.
• Conduct outreach activities, meetings, and workshops to promote social and behavioral change.
• Provide information and support to community members regarding their rights and available resources.
• Collect data and feedback from the community to help improve program activities and design.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the effective implementation of projects.
• Assist in the development of community-based awareness campaigns and events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Sociology, Community Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in social mobilization or community engagement, preferably in a non-profit or NGO setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse community groups.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in organizing and conducting community meetings, workshops, and events.
• Knowledge of local customs, cultures, and community dynamics.
• Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto; English is a plus.
