Job Description

Scope of Work:

The Community Mobilizer will play a key role in the Afghanistan Integrity Youth Activity (AIYA) project by engaging with local communities to mobilize, select, and support beneficiaries in youth development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community engagement, youth development, and program implementation.

 

Community Engagement:

   o Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders.
   o Facilitate community meetings and workshops to promote the AIYA project and its objectives.

 

Beneficiary Mobilization and Selection:

  o Conduct outreach activities to identify and engage potential beneficiaries.
  o Implement selection criteria and processes for beneficiaries, ensuring transparency       and fairness.
  o Collect and maintain accurate records of beneficiaries and their needs.

 

Youth Development Support:

  o Assist in the design and delivery of training programs focused on education, vocational skills, and personal development.
  o Provide mentorship and guidance to selected beneficiaries to enhance their learning experience.

 

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  o Collect data and feedback from beneficiaries to assess program impact and effectiveness.

  o Prepare regular reports on mobilization activities and beneficiary progress.

 

Collaboration:

 o Work closely with project staff and partners to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.

 o Participate in training sessions and workshops to improve skills and knowledge relevant to community mobilization

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, Education, Community Development, or related field.

Experience:

Proven experience in community mobilization, youth work, or related areas (2+ years preferred).
   Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire youth.
   Knowledge of youth development principles and best practices in education and vocational training.
   Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
   Proficiency in local language(s) and English.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
 Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
 Proficient in using digital tools for data collection and reporting.
 Passion for youth empowerment and community development.
