SFL opened its office in Afghanistan in the year of 1998, funded by multiple donors such as BPRM, USG, USDA and WFP. SFL has a rich experience and provides assistance to the following areas; Agriculture Development, Food Security, livelihood and emergency, shelter and population settlement, microcredit, infrastructure development, health and nutrition.

Job Descriptions:

General information:

A District Supervisor is responsible to manage professionally overall project implementation in designated project sites/location. The district supervisor will be involved to coordinate all project activities on districts level and work under direct supervision of project coordinator. Project supervisor shall explain and coordinate project objective communities, CFAC, Governmental authorities, he is responsible to develop all project activities including; planning, survey and distribution plan with related stakeholder on timely manner.

Key Responsibility:

  • Manage professionally overall project implementation in designated project sites/ location.
  • Work under direct supervision of project coordinator and project manager.
  • Responsible to prepare weekly/ monthly project implementation plan and share with management team.
  • Having good behavior with community people especially with beneficiaries.
  • Supervisors are responsible to provide daily progress report such as, Beneficiary selection, SCOPE registration, Food distribution reports considering any security challenges that effects on workflow.
  • Supervisors are responsible to provide all their written reports in English.
  • Supervisors are responsible to well maintain the all SFL & WFP assets and return tools & equipment in good condition.
  • Supervisor is responsible to monitor project progress and gaps on regular basis within the programs and proactively seek to guide and support programs in addressing gaps and challenges.
  • Assist Monitoring team in finding/ resolving of compliance report.
  • Conduct coordination and communication with all related stakeholders including (Nahias, Hawza (Security Department), CFAC members, district governor office, local authorities etc.).
  • Facilitate monitoring environment for TPM/FM colleague in term of Survey, SCOPE registration, food/ CBT distribution etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by program leadership (Project Coordinator/ Project Manager).

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in related positions.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years experience working with NGO or and INGOs.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer skills
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and commercial awareness.

Fluent knowledge of spoken and written English and Dari, with Pashto an advantage.
