Job Description
The Armored Vehicle Driver is responsible for the secure and efficient transportation of personnel and valuable assets. The role involves maintaining the vehicle in excellent working condition, ensuring compliance with all safety and security protocols, and acting with a high degree of professionalism at all times.
Key Responsibilities:

- Safely operate the armored vehicle to transport personnel and assets to various locations.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations, and ensure the safety of passengers and cargo.
- Conduct thorough vehicle checks before each trip, including inspection of tires, brakes, lights, and other safety features.
- Maintain high situational awareness and remain vigilant for potential security threats.
- Ensure the armored vehicle is kept in optimal condition by performing regular maintenance checks and coordinating with maintenance teams for necessary repairs.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
- Accurately maintain logbooks and other records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during the operation of the vehicle.
- Report any mechanical issues or damages to the vehicle immediately to the appropriate department.
- Use communication devices as per organizational protocols to stay connected with the team.
- Be prepared to respond effectively to emergency situations, including medical emergencies or security threats & Coordinate with security personnel and follow emergency protocols as required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding routes, schedules, and the nature of the transported cargo.
- Avoid disclosing any information that could compromise the safety of the operation.
- Adhere to the organization's policies, procedures, and security protocols at all times.
- Ensure compliance with local and international laws and regulations governing the use of armored vehicles.
- Display a high level of professionalism, including punctuality, a neat appearance, and respectful interaction with passengers and team members.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7years of experience in driving, with specific experience in operating armored vehicles preferred.
- License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Skills:

- Strong knowledge of defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to operate communication equipment.
- Basic mechanical skills for vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Working Conditions:
- This role may require long hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on the nature of assignments.
- The driver must be willing to travel and stay overnight if required by the assignment.
- The role involves potential exposure to security risks, requiring strict adherence to safety and security protocols.
Performance Indicators:
- Safe and timely transportation of personnel and assets.
- Maintenance of the vehicle in good condition.
- Compliance with all security protocols and procedures.
- Accurate and timely record-keeping and reporting.
