About HAPA (Humanitarian Actions for the People of Afghanistan):

Humanitarian Actions for the people of Afghanistan (HAPA) has been working since 1991 in the southern region (including Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul & Urozgan provinces). HAPA has main Office in Kandahar province located in Shahri Naw Chowk, District # 6 and sub-offices in (Helmand, Zabul, Nimroz, & Uruzgan provinces). HAPA has 50 permanent qualified staff members in the four offices of the southern region. HAPA remained the implementing partner (IP) for the following UN agencies (including UNODC, UN-WFP, UNHCR, UNICEF, UNOCHA) and international agencies such as (JICA, CIDA, DAI, and IOM in the past). HAPA has implemented numerous aid projects with the subject organizations in the past more than two decades. 

 

 

 

Job Descriptions:

Within the framework of HAPA's mission and objectives, the Information Management Officer (IMO) will be entrusted with the following key responsibilities:

  • Advocate for access to basic services, especially water, sanitation, education and health for vulnerable communities, including the collection, analysis and dissemination of information to humanitarian partners, and negotiation of access;
  • Support the government efforts and humanitarian organizations in relocation of internally displaced and returnees;
  • Coordinate the implementation of humanitarian response in rural areas with UN agencies and programmes, national and international NGOs and local authorities/communities as appropriate, with focus on strengthening the cluster approach;
  • Enhance a protective environment that respects the human rights of all, including IDPs, returnees and minority clans.
  • Follow up with participants and stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and maintain positive relationships.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the project manager to support the overall objectives and activities of the maritime safety program.

 

 

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration, international relations, law, or a related discipline. MBA is preferred. 
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in conducting regulation or safety activities, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently, with a calm and composed demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Dari; knowledge of Pashto is desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to field locations within the project area.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
