Afghan Technical Consultants (ATC) is the first United Nations-sponsored humanitarian mine action NGO in the globe. During the last 35 years of successful operations, ATC has completed the clearance of more than eleven thousand minefields and former battle areas in 32 provinces of Afghanistan. ATC has also destroyed above 4.6 millions of landmines and explosive remnants of war (ERW). ATC has provided job opportunities for thousands of Afghans in the past 35 Years.
Job Description
On the spot controlling of demining operations. Under direct supervision of the Team Leader. the Section Leader will perform the following duties.
- Monitor and strictly bans the concerned personnel’s wandering about in the minefield during official/unofficial hours.
- Plan daily activities in the diary and control implementation of the plan.
- Verify daily and check, with the mine detector, all the area cleared by his section’s Deminers.
- Check carefully accuracy of the demining technical equipment prior to starting the mine clearance operations.
- Maintain daily records in his diary any faults of the concerned personnel

Educational requirements
Graduate from High School
Has successfully passed a full Deminers Course and Demining Team Leaders Course
Language Skills
Language (s) – Dari, Pashto
Working knowledge of English language will be preferred
Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in Demining Operations with ATC or other MAPA implementing partners with similar procedures to ATC.
Candidates worked with ATC will be prefer.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Able to travel and work in all provinces of Afghanistan
- Fluent in Dari, Pashto and rare in English.
- Have a strong communication skill.
- Open to accepting direction and guidance from supervisors, team leader.
- Able to work independently and efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communicational skills; personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility.
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from different cultures and professional backgrounds ;
- In additional if know at least computers skills in MS Word and Excel it will be better.
- Ability to type in English and Dari / Pashto. Computer skills are a plus point, including good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication in speak Dari and Pashto.
- Age limit 22-45 years
