Job Descriptions:

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

1: Admin Related Duties:

  1. Responsible for the smooth running of the administrative function of the AHF WASH Project in Kandahar.
  2. Prepare duty roster for the coo administrative functions of the AHF WASH project in Kandahar.
  3. Maintain and monitor attendance book, alert supervisor to poor attendance records of relevant staff.
  4. Responsible for maintaining supply of all admin documents and file them in a safe and accessible area considering the AHF and MC’s record keeping requirements.
  5. Responsible for maintaining all administrative notice boards — keeping them updated, clean and neat in appearance.
  6. Translation of any office documentation related to the AHF WASH Project in Kandahar.
  7. Raising the PRs and following up with the procurement team to ensure goods and items entrusted to this project are procured on time and provided to the end users.
  8. Assist in the collection of monthly timesheets for the project staff.
  9. Assist the project manager and WASH officer in processing payments for all service contractors/suppliers on time.
  1. Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
  2. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in the field.
  • Minimum of 2-3-year administrative experience in a corporate or an NGO environment.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of operations and administrative aspects.
  • Hands on experience in handling admin at the field level with close coordination with the project team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, organizational, prioritization and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and local languages in the field location.
  • Ability to work effectively with an ethnically diverse team in a sensitive environment.
