Zularistan Energy for Afghanistan was established by a group of Afghan professionals in 2005 in Kabul. The firm company was registered with Ministry of Commerce of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan accordingly. Zularistan operates from its Main Office located in Kabul as well as 2 regional offices in Kandahar and Jalalabad. Zularistan started operations in Afghanistan in partnership with a German-based solar company. The German company operates in different parts of the world as distributor of pv products and supplying to Zularistan high quality PV technology. Zularistan has established partnership for solar IPP projects in Afghanistan with International Companies.

Since its inception, Zularistan has been involved in expanding renewable energy options in Afghanistan, including installation of domestic-solar systems and designing, constructing, installing and maintenance of solar-system plants for the government.
 
As a total, Zularistan implemented more than 45 projects and started doing solar IPPs in 2018 with a 15 MW PV Plant in Kandahar province. The main advantage of Zularistan includes utilizing genuine equipment and spare part, building the platform, installing the systems and providing maintenance services. Zularistan Ltd. has been managed by a technical team specialized in various aspect of solar- based systems from conducting feasibility assessment and offering alternative energy- solutions. In fact, the team is an institutional memory of business development process in Afghanistan. The company delivers quality services by professional, self-motivated and interdependent teams in response to the diverse requirements of the country to renewable energy. Zularistan is working in association with International partners for supply of solar products and development of IPP solar power plants inside Afghanistan with International standards.

Zularistan Energy for Afghanistan has been developing practical and realistic practical financial plans in order to increase project efficiencies and protect the company from critical losses. At the same time, Zularistan is in better financial position to implement solar projects more effectively.

It should be added that Zularistan ltd delivered a total solar electric output power 12 MW in  Afghanistan in different provinces. Zularistan was awarded the 1st ever 15 MW Solar IPP in Kandahar province of Afghanistan in Feb 2018 and completed in second quarter of  2019.  We  completed  the   1st   Solar and MHP mini  grid  project  for  UNDP  in Afghanistan in 2019.

Up to date, ZULARISTAN LTD implemented 45 plus projects ranging from 1 Kw to 15 MW in 22 provinces of Afghanistan successfully.

Zularistan Ltd has maintained a pool of customers which includes PRT, GTZ, NSP, Norwegian Aid, Action Aid, BRAC, UN-Habitat, German Agro Action, JICA, IRG/ACEP, USAID, UNOPS, USACE-AED, UNICEF, UAE-Task Force, US-
Embassy, NATO,GIZ, UNDP and MRRD etc.

Zularistan established affable relationships with the government institutions which provided adequate opportunities to reach local population. The communities were also supportive and helpful through convincing the local leaders to support Zularistan’s initiatives in their respective areas.

Solar Energy Engineer Job Description

A solar engineer is a professional who specializes in solar and renewable energy technologies. He should be able to plan, design and execute solar energy projects and manage everything from residential rooftop installations to large-scale commercial projects.

The responsibilities can vary somewhat, but some of the primary duties include:

1. Responsible for leading and managing solar energy projects from start to finish and engaging with various relevant project stakeholders.
2. Perform duties for engineering deliverables and monitoring progress on project design reviews and deadlines thus making sure the project milestones are met.
3. Responsible for executing solar PV projects while maintaining budget and schedule
4. Coordinate all of the workers and materials involved in a solar installation, managing time and contract of the project
5. Designing or coordinating the design of solar power systems of photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential or commercial consumers.
6. Using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create electrical single-line diagrams, connection diagrams or panel schedules for solar electrical systems.
7. Creating checklists to use when reviewing solar installation projects that have been completed
8. Creating plans for developing, monitoring and evaluating a solar electrical system
9. Developing operational procedures to maintain safety standards for installing and maintaining solar installations
10. Install, maintain and repair solar energy systems
11. Test and analyze solar energy systems for performance, efficiency, and reliability
12. Create models and simulations for solar energy systems
13. Conduct research and development for solar energy systems
14. Provide technical advice on solar energy system design and maintenance
15. Providing any other support if desired in favor of the project.
