Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, the incumbent of this position will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The Community Outreach Officers will work under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Program Coordinator. The incumbent will be required to undertake the following tasks:
1- Carry out assessments of the cases at district level in the target locations of project implementation;
2- Coordination with of project activities with other relevant stakeholders in regards to identification of eligible cases as per the Guideline in the project implementation sites;
3- Conduct regular field visits to the project sites to meet the targeted cases as well as assess the referred cases and complete the required assessment forms/documentation as per guidelines.
4- Collect and provide accurate data on assessed and assisted cases from the field to the Program Coordinator, UN Women and other relevant project staff members;
5- Maintaining full confidentiality of the collected data and information related to the cases gathered from the field in the targeted locations and project implementation sites;
6- Arranging to provide public awareness information on cases to the local community residents, youth and other relevant actors as and when required;
7- Coordination with the local government authorities, relevant stakeholders and UN Women focal point in his/her area of work;
8- Arrange to deliver the required assistance to the approved beneficiaries in accordance with the approval provided by the committee;
9- Conduct follow up visits to the project sites to assess change and self-reliance in the assisted cases;
10- Properly document the findings of the follow-up visit and share updated information on the outcomes of these visits with the relevant staff members in the project;
11- Collaborate with the project management team in regards to referral of the ineligible cases to other NGOs in the respective localities for assistance;
Perform any other relevant task as and when assigned by the Program Coordinator.
Job Requirements
- The eligible candidate should have at least High School certificate. Preference will be given to those with higher education in a relevant field;
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in conduction of case assessment and identification of eligible groups, preferably returnees and IDPs, for the provision of social services;
- Sound leadership, and decision-making skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and team working skills with a high commitment to complying with the UN codes of conduct and ethical norms;
- Excellent management, communication and reporting skills;
- Good knowledge of the local contextual and humanitarian situation;
- Able to communicate, both verbal and written, in the local languages. Proficiency in the English language will be given priority;
- Proficient in use of computer.
- Able to work under difficult situation and meet deadlines on a timely basis.
