Job Descriptions:

The Finance Assistant works in the provincial (project) office to predominantly responsible for assisting in implementation of rules/ regulation and maintains efficient and effective administrative and financial operations with the assistance of project manager. He/she should be graduate from a recognized university preferably diploma holder with the strong experiences on  excellent communication skills (Oral and written) in Dari/ Pashto and English languages, excellent Computer skills especially with MS office Package and at least 2 years working experience of administrative position at the relevant field within an NGO or UN family organization. He/ she must be honest, active and well mannered (polite and cooperative with all colleagues).

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Prepares financial vouchers and monthly reports on Accounts for submission to Finance Manager.
  2. Overall management of finance department and close supervision of sub-offices finance sections for provision of full support to the organization.
  3. Travel to Laghman, and Nuristan province when it require.
  4. Place all the transfer to bank and other outside work when it need and assign by Finance officer.
  5. Check the training payrolls and provide the payment on time.
  6. . Ensure project/program cost are according to approved budget lines.
  7. . Inform top management from deviation of project funds.
  8. Keep soft and hard copies of financial records.
  9. Overall cost control covered by projects, administration and program including but not limited to transportation, purchase of supplies, equipments etc
  10. . Ensure purchasing procedures are followed for purchasing items need larger amount of cash.
  11. Write the check to supplier and send cash to field office when they request.
  12. . Request cash at weekly basis to main office bank account.
  13.  Check all field documents at end of month.
  14. Ensure all bills, vouchers and any other documents related to finance has been signed and approved dated properly.
  15. Communicate with His / Her Supervisor regarding financial issues and for preparing reports on regular bases.
  16. . Preparation of payrolls in case non presence Finance Officer and distribution of salaries.
  17. Check and review the field office document
  18. Check Asset in file office
  19. To performe any other tasks as requiers by finance Manager or Officier.
  20. Contribute to the positive image and overall credibility of the program and organization, notably through adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics, including compliance with anti-harassment, safeguarding and PSEA policies.
  21. It is all-staff shared responsibility and obligation to prevent matters involving Sexual Exploitation & Abuse, Trafficking in Persons, Child Safeguarding and any suggested violation to our Code of Conduct and Ethics, which may involve Conflicts of Interest, Fraud, Corruption or Harassment. Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor of social sciences recognized universities
  2. BBA/DBA is preferred
  3. At least two years of experience of working with NGOs or three years with government
  4. Prévoies expériences with International Organizations would be an asset
  5. Good communication skills in English, Dari and Pashto
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills
  7. Excellent in English, Pashto  and Dari typing/ writting  and speaking.
  8. Preference will be given to local candidates.
