Job Descriptions:

The senior provincial coordinator is overall responsible to coordinate and manage the whole project activities at provincial level including effective implementation of the project activities, budget utilisation staff supervision, monitoring and evaluation from progression of activities according to logical framework and action plan.

The senior provincial coordinator should closely coordinate with related government stakeholders, conduct coordination meetings, and make decisions regarding developments and improvements of activities.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

 1: Program Management

  • Collaborate with the Authorities in the province and Districts of operation and make them aware of the project.
  • Monitoring project activities and ensure that they are ongoing as per the agreed work plan.
  • Preparing monthly action plan based on detailed implementation plan of project and share with related team for implementation
  • Documentation of implemented projects and activities and working closely with M&E of project to record the impacts and outcomes of project
  • Control the budget expenditures and prepare budget break down based on need of each program and activity
  • Supervise and support the related project team, social organizers and manage their work and activities in the filed
  • Responsibility of collection and compiling the field team weekly and monthly reports
  • Provincial Coordinator is responsible to arrange, manage and approve the leave requests of social organizers and M&E.
  • Supporting HR for staff recruitments and performance management.
  • Develop monthly plan & report and submit to Project Manager for approval.
  • Ensure close and effective working with the team of Community Mobilizer for establishing community-based institutions for Cash distribution in CBED 1 targeted community.
  • To develop and contribute to design and plan NRM and Agriculture interventions in a participatory manner.
  • To ensure in program design and assessment stage environmental protection, equity and disaster risk reduction measures incorporate into program activities.
  • Identify opportunities and strategic needs of the communities in order to enhance the SIDA funded project results and enhance community ownership, participation and contribution.

 2: Monitoring & Impact Assessment

  • Working closely with M&E at the province and country level to record the impacts of projects based on monitoring reports from the field.
  • address the challenges, gaps and share the lessons learnt with the remaining team
  • Using new methods and approaches for effectiveness of project activities
  • Improve the capacity of project team in order to monitoring and evaluation of project activities
  • Supporting M&E team to prepare selection criteria and specific formats to select right holders
  • Ensure regular information collection on each agreed indicators and reported through reports as per organizational and donor needs.
  • Work with the monitoring and evaluation manager and develop impact monitoring indicators and system to understand, document and disseminate the impact of the project and learning.
  • Organize internal monitoring and impact assessment visits

3: Reporting, Communication, and staff management:

  • Develop and submit accurate monthly work plans and reports to the Humanitarian Manager. These reports should include technical social and impact information.
  • Liaise with Provincial stakeholders regarding technical aspect of Humanitarian response implementing activities.
  • Liaise with relevant government departments and keep updated them on the project progress and achievements on regular basis.
  • Development of performance development plans and implements them together with the M&E Sr. Officer
  • Provide, in writing feedback to the team members and keep informed the project manager and HR, as appropriate.
  • Participate in staff recruitments as advised by the Project Manager

4: Capacity Building and networking:

  • Build the Capacity of Community mobilizer for Cash & Voucher
  • Liaise with relevant government departments, NGO networks as advised by the Project Manager
  • Participate in CMA / NRMC meetings as appropriate.
  • Participate in District Governors and other stakeholders’ meetings

Job Requirements:

Education & Training:

  • University degree or equivalent in international development or related subjects
  • Knowledge of the requirements of humanitarian assistance and Cash and Voucher

Experience:

  •  4 to 5 years’ experience in project management and related to Humanitarian Response tasks 

Technical Skills :

  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Writing skills in English /Dari
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills
