Job Descriptions:

The district coordinator will implement delegated area of responsibilities of project activities in Dehrawood district and field regions. The district coordinator will ensure implementation of project activities and CiC – Street Child Policy, procedures and other Tools in CiC – Street Child Afghanistan with focus and main responsibility on coordination of project activities outcome.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Generic Responsibilities:

Ensure adherence with CiC – Street Child policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines

Prepare and develop status reports as required by management

Ensure proper filing of documents

Promote and share ideas for technical improvement

Specific Responsibilities:

Coordinate further develop good working relationships with specified communities, provincial/District staff, government departments, Teachers (DCPAN members, community elders, children’s parents and vulnerable children.

Responsible to protection risks observation and monitoring, awareness raising based on project out comes and Chic’s protocols.

To conduct coordination meeting on monthly bases with DED members DG in accordance with the PCL guidance and consultation

To collect data, statistics and project progress activities information requested by the PCL/JDC.

Report to the PCL/JDC/ data entry on daily and weekly basis.

Responding to child protection issues

Keep records of any documents/visits, phone calls or emails received from other project staff and social workers requesting support.

Ensure that all activities are implemented according to the activity plan and in line with the project objectives.

Facilitate trainings activities, meetings and any other programs according to the need of project.

Attend at all meetings arranged by the PCL/ JDC.

Any other relevant tasks given by the line manager.

Job Requirements:

Professional Competencies:

University degree or related field preferred. Management studies degree specialized on Education Management/development is an advantage. 

1-3 years’ relevant experience with international Humanitarian and development organization

Fluency in languages Pashto and Dari

Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.

Responsible, reliable, punctual and ability to multi-task.

Knowledge of archiving and filing

Strong communication skills. 

Ability to work under pressure

Knowledge of coordination practices

Good follow up and organizing and mobilizing skills

Handling insecure environment
