Organization for Research, Evaluation and Afghanistan Development (OREAD) is an Afghan owned and professionals led not-for profit organization that established in 2018 with ministry of economy of Afghanistan. The vision of the OREAD is to provide superior quality healthcare services, education, evaluation and research to Afghan community. The OREAD working with the mission to help people of Afghanistan to build their country, delivering quality health, education and social services and promote their capacity to execute quality evaluation and research. The OREAD is to connect the Afghan professionals to make them more productive and successful. The OREAD work with the slogan of Research and Evaluation for Innovation and Development. The core values of the OREAD are: making every effort to promote integrated approaches in its project areas; ensure to reach to most vulnerable population such as women, children and the most underprivileged people are the focus of our programmes; guided by its humanitarian policies which actively nurture all aspects of human rights from within our programmes; In OREAD projects, local stakeholders are involved in the decision-making process and community activities are carried out with local participation. The organization of READ together with Care of Afghan Families (CAF) in partnership with Stop TB Partnership, Geneva is implementing the Integrating TB in Maternal and Child Health Services and supporting health system strengthening project in Afghanistan.
The aim of the project is to contribute to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDG) 3.2 and to contribute to strengthening the health system to achieve the global End TB Strategy and UN high-level meeting’s targets and national targets illustrated in national strategi plan by integrating TB services in maternal, reproductive, and child health services to increase access of women, mothers and children to quality TB care.
The project aims to health the national TB program to integrate TB services into matnernal, newborn, child health and family planning services in two hospitals in Kabul, and six clinics in cities of Kabul, Mazar-e-Sharif, Sheberghan and Herat.
The HMIS Officer will be overall responsible for HMIS activities of the TB REACH project, including designing and establishing an effective HMIS/TBIS and supervision system within the project, Developing the HMIS plan of the project, conducting monitoring and evaluation from the project supported health facilities in four cities, Regular review and monitoring of HMIS data for verification, discrepancy and provide feedback to mentors, ensure implementation of the project target indicators, conducting on the job training for eligible staff of HFs, Accuracy and consistency check of HMIS data, collecting the HMIS data, entering the data to project database, developing quarterly HMIS report. Besides, will attend the quarterly review meetings of TB.
