Established in 2007, the AWRO is a non-profit, non-government, independent NGO working in thematic areas of Education, Livelihood, Food Security, Access to Justice, Human Rights from Islamic Perspectives, Health, Nutrition, Capacity building, awareness raising, business development, etc. 

Two poultry trainers (1 male, 1 female) will be hired in Ghazi Abad & Chapa Dara districts of Kunar Province, for this project to carry out the conduction of the training sessions, prepare training materials and curriculums, and support the target right-holders in terms of poultry farming through physical visits to make sure that the gained knowledge and appropriate practices are being applied in poultry farming.

Tasks include the following, but not limited to:

1. Prepare training curriculum, presentations, attendance records and plans
2. Conduct Poultry training for the project participants in the following topics through a mixed approach of practical and theoretical:

• Poultry Breeding
• Poultry Feeding
• Poultry Management
• Improved practices in incubation, brooding, feeding, rearing, and housing
• Disease and parasite prevention control
• Effects of management practices and processing methods on quality of eggs and other poultry products

3. Manage the training workshop sessions
4. Manage own time and the time of others
5. Prepare training reports prior to conduction of each training session
6. Prepare physical house visit reports to reflect the findings
7. Pay physical visits to the houses of the project participants to make sure that the knowledge and skills provided during the training sessions are applied practically in the poultry farming
8. Assist the project teams with the documentations of project participants
9. Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Veterinary, or relevant field

- Two to Four years of experience in poultry training

- Good knowledge about trends and updates in poultry field

- Good knowledge of poultry incubation, brooding, feeding, housing, and disease control

- Familiarity with the local language of the Jowzjan province

- Ability to travel to the target villages of Ghazi Abad and Chapa Dara districts of Kunar province
