Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose

The nutrition nurse will conduct screening of under 5 children, admission of SAM and MAM children in the OPD SAM /MAM program, referral of acute malnourished children with medical complication, follow up of malnourished children, preparation and submission  of nutrition program reports.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Regular screening of under 5 children and PLWs.
  2. Regular conducting of nutrition education to caretaker of malnourished children.
  3. Regular conducting of training to family MUAC program clients.
  4. Regular collection of nutrition data at health facility level.
  5. Admission and follow up of OPD SAM , MAM children and PLWs. 
  6. Development of nutrition filling system at health facility level.
  7. Regular submission of therapeutic food distribution report on  weekly and monthly basis.
  8. Regular distribution of food items to SAM, MAM children and PLWS.
  9. Regular preparation and submission of monthly statistic and stock report.
  10.  Participation and leading nutrition team during the mass MUAC screening   campaign on quarterly bases.

Job Requirements:

1. Graduated from recognized nursing school. Bachelor of Nursing or Nursing Diploma holders will be given preference.

2. At least 1 year work experience in the similar position.

3. Locals of duty station will be given preference.

4. Knowledge of nutrition program especially IMAM and MIYCN.

5. Able to communicate in local languages.

6. Good interpersonal skill
