Bawar Cultural, Educational and Social Organization (BCESO) is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization, the BCESO was established in 2015 with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan under registration number 3631. Bawar Cultural Educational and Social Organization (BCESO) is an Afghan-initiated and Afghan-driven organization, that aims to build Afghan ownership through policy-informing research, development, and capacity building, and to adapt international expertise and experience for Afghanistan’s unique complex development context.

The incumbent shall perform under the direct supervision of Project Manager and work in close collaboration with BCESO Program Department.

His specific responsibilities are as below:

• Control entry and ensure security of the BCESO premises
• Patrol assigned areas inside and outside: maintain continuous surveillance against fire, water leakage, deposit of dangerous objects or any other action which could damage to BCESO premises or injury to personnel;
• Report on any incidents or actions that involve a breach of security procedures to a supervisor;
• In case of incident/emergency, immediately use communications systems to alert a supervisor and provide first aid to staff concerned as required;
• Liaise as necessary with the local administration, police authorities, fire services and other emergency services;
• Open and close building; check that all office machines, air conditioners, lights, etc, are turned off after working hours;
• Respond to enquiries and provide appropriate information or suggest alternative sources of information;
• Provide staff driving services including basic maintenance of assigned vehicle and reporting on official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption and the malfunctioning of vehicle;
• Issue building passes as requested;
• Report for duty as and when necessary (on call);

Perform other related duties as required.

• Secondary school education.
• Two years of Security experience.
•  Valid driving license.
• Previous working experience with army/police service or within in the UN system is prepared.
   

Languages: Fluency in both oral and written Pashto/Dari languages.
