Job Descriptions:

Project Management

  • Assist ECHO Manager and Education program coordinator in timely reporting of planned tasks at the provincial level.
  • Supervise and oversee the education staff performance at the field level and to be ensure from timely submission of supervisees PME.
  • Provide technical assistance and conduct on the spot check field visits and provide constructive feedbacks.
  • Having the regular meetings and coordination with relevant stakeholders and implementing partners to track each deliverable status.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to local IPs regarding the implementation of EiE programs. This includes sharing best practices, providing training and capacity-building sessions, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and principles of EiE
  • Ensure that the planned tasks are aligned with the project workplan, and the project is on track.
  • Close monitoring and tracking of the provincial budget utilization and informing the program coordinator or the project manager for any mischarges or budget off tack issues.
  • Together with the team and local partner, prepare regular progress reports and reflective documents about the program, and submit them to the Kabul Main Office.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports to the Kabul main office and attend coordination meetings.
  • Ensure that accurate and updated records of logistics and inventory of the education activities are maintained.
  • Provide timely financial projections to the Field Coordinator and Kabul main office; maintain records of all expenditures approved by the Education Coordinator for program activities.
  • Communicate project activities with other units of the field offices, Kabul, and IRC local partners, Monitor the movement of education staff members.

Coordination:

  • Collaborates with relevant stakeholders, such as local IPs, government agencies, NGOs, and community representatives, to develop comprehensive plans for EiE interventions in the province
  • Work with local IPs in generating the work plan and expense plan for the project at the provincial level with constructive feedbacks.
  • Facilitate communication channels between local IPs, communities, and relevant education authorities
  • On the spot sharing any burning issues with program coordinator and project manager for immediate address the challenges.
  • Addressing the problems faced for the program implementation jointly with the IPs including the meeting and trainings.
  • To make sure that all the project stakeholders are well oriented on project goals, timeline and wok plan.
  • Coordination of all field/project area activities with the Education Technical Specialist, Education Coordinator, and Field Coordinator.
  • Coordination with IRC local partner on quality project implementation in targeted communities.
  • Coordinate with the central and provincial education staff, ECHO Manager, Education officer, admin assistant and training officer, security and access team and local partners’ provincial supervisors.
  • Coordination with Education programming stakeholders, PEDs, DEDs community leaders, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachler’s degree preferably in education, business administration and other related fields.
  • At least (3-4 years) of experience in relevant field in humanitarian organization (NGO)
  • Good working knowledge in project implementation.
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Able to mentor and support departmental staff.
  • Excellent Budget Management skills
  • Experience in report writing
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • Fluent in speaking and writing English and speak/write one of the local languages (Dari/Pashto)
  • Computer skills including knowledge and proficient using of MS Office package (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
