About Rehabilitation Association and Agriculture Development for Afghanistan (RAADA):

Rehabilitation Association and Agriculture Development for Afghanistan (RAADA) started its humanitarian activities in 2002. As a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), RAADA started working in Herat Province and extended its activities in western Afghanistan (Herat, Farah, Ghor, and Badghis Provinces) with the Vision “Poverty no Longer Exists in the World” and the Mission Statement “Mitigating Poverty and Contributing to Reconstruction and Development Process in Afghanistan through Community-based Solutions and Interventions” Having a good analysis of the community needs, qualified staff, and sound management procedures, RAADA has designed and implemented various projects on Livelihood, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Human Rights, Women Empowerment, Disaster Risk Reduction, Water Supply, Health & Hygiene with the financial support it has received from CAID, JICA, Tawanmandi, UNHCR, WAR CHILD UK, UNFAO, WFP, WHH, DRC, Italian Cooperation, IRC and CRS.

Job Descriptions:

Provide practical good agriculture practices (GAP) training to farmers and gardeners in the raisin value chain sector in Herat and Farah provinces.
Conduct hands-on demonstrations and field visits to showcase best practices in the raisin value chain.
Collaborate with experts and stakeholders in the field of raisin value chain to enhance the training program.
Assess the progress of trainees and provide guidance and support to improve their skills.
Develop training materials, manuals, and resources tailored to the project strategy.
Organize workshops, seminars, and training to promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning for raisin value chain farmers with close coordination of the project manager and supervisor.
Prepare and submit regular reports on the training activities, outcomes, and the impact of the Raisin value chain training program.
Undertake any other duties related to the mentioned GAP training as assigned by the relevant supervising authority.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in agriculture (minimum).

Experience: Proven previous experience training farmers in the raisin value chain sector. Experience in curriculum development is also valuable.

Knowledge: Raisin value chain trainers should have a strong understanding of good agricultural practices (GAP), techniques, technologies, and industry trends related to the value chain. They should be knowledgeable about crop production, soil science, pest management, irrigation systems, and other key aspects of agriculture.

Other Requirements: 
Fluent in local languages (Dari and Pashto) and adaptable to the traditions of the target population (appearance, accents, expressions, etc.)
At least 3 years of working experience in the same position in a national or international NGO
Excellent understanding of local context, needs, and challenges of the local communities
Good interpersonal and communication skills in local languages
The skill of working in a team
Able to travel the project sites
