Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will primarily focus on cash handling and financial transactions within our organization, rather than directly interacting with customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong mathematical skills, be highly organized, and be able to maintain accuracy while performing cash-related duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the daily cash book of the SGC.
  • Keeping record of the cash in and cash out of all the Accounts in Cash Book.
  • Doing weekly reconciliation of the cash book with the QuickBooks & Bank Accounts.
  • Going to banks cashing the checks and keeping records of the bank accounts of the SGC.
  • Converting the foreign currencies into Afn and maintaining source documents of the Conversion.
  • Processing the cash payments and checking the source documents with Proper approvals.
  • Checking the accuracy of the documents in ERP software and processing the payments accordingly.
  • Passing the journal entries of the cash book in the quick books and Cash Books.
  • Going to the bank and doing monthly reconciliations of the Accounts.
  • Processing Fund transfer letters in the banks.
  • Keeping record of the financial transaction from all the sources for audit purpose.
  • Keeping up to date record of the currencies for the conversion of the Currencies.
  • Going to Teller converting different currencies according to the SGC requirements
  • Recording all the CPV’s & GV’s and archiving the files.
  • Filling the documents in a hard and soft format following proper voucher systems.
  • Helping the supervisor in his workings and performing any duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 6 Years working experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Integrity: Demonstrating honesty, trustworthiness, and maintaining the highest level of integrity in handling money and customer transactions.

  • Cash handling expertise: Strong understanding of cash handling procedures, including verifying currency authenticity, spotting counterfeit notes, and following security protocols
